Sad

This was one of the saddest sight I ever have to see in my entire life. My daughter undergoing an EEG test (neuro test). But the saddest was the result showing she has epileptiform discharges most prevalent when she is asleep. Meaning, aside from her autism she also has epilepsy (but the doctor has prescribed medication she will have to take for 2 years straight). Out of 7 children having autism only one of them is female. My child was the lucky one. Such innocence, such beautiful child. All I could ask is “Why?”

Then some might ask why do I have to share these pictures. One for awareness, for myself and everyone about this condition, which is the key to understanding. Two, acceptance that she is already in this state that no use beating my head on the wall about the why’s. Three, to let it all go all my fears and confusion and do something.

  1. I am also sending hugs to you and your daughter today. Thank you for sharing with us.

  2. your daughter is blessed to have a supportive mom like you. children with autism need a lot more than what a normal child needs. it is a challenge on the part of a parent/parents. and not many can deal with such a situation positively.

hats off to you and to all mothers who bravely face such situations. you are gems in this world. and i hope and pray that all mothers will be inspired to be like you.
