How To Get Your Beach Body Back

It’s not unusual to gain a little weight over the winter months. When it is cold, the last thing you want to do is put on your running gear and go for a jog. We all love to stay in the warm, drink hot cocoa and chill out on the couch.

However, if you want to get your trim and toned beach body back, so you can wear your bathing suit and show off your figure, then this blog post will give you a few winter health tips. You might find it hard at first to get out of your winter comforts, while a pan of milk heats up, ready for a hot cocoa, or staying in to watch a film rather than going out for a jog. Below are some tips which will help you get back into shape.

Food tips

You don’t have to go on a drastic diet to drop a few pounds. By making a few simple swaps, you can lose weight and still enjoy the foods you love. For example, rather than using full cream milk and cocoa powder to make a rich and high calorie drink, instead, use skimmed milk and low calorie chocolate powder. This will cut the fat content hugely.

Exercise

If the cold weather puts you off going for a run, then you can easily get your daily exercise by taking a little walk during your lunch break, or even getting off a couple of bus stops early and walking. A little bit of exercise each day soon adds up.

Finishing touches

Once you have reached your optimum weight, make your skin extra smooth by using a tinted moisturiser. This will also add a hint of color to your legs and arms, which are sure to look a little pale after being hidden under sweaters for a few months. Why not use a bronzer blusher, rather than a pink blusher, to give your complexion a natural and subtle tan glow too?

  1. I somehow got the impression that the more I stress about losing weight (or the inches on my waist), the more I gain weight. Haha, but I love your suggestion on going early and having time to walk!

  2. I was actually gearing up to lose some weight after a really indulgent holiday 2011 season…but lo and behold, after I stepped on the scale and fitted my clothes, I actually LOST weight rather than gained it.

Odd, but hey. I’m thankful. Haha!

Great tips, by the way. 🙂
