At the runway, we don’t really get to focus on the face because we have our attention with the clothes. I am glad that L’Oreal Paris Philippines came out with the look book to give us a closer look on the makeup/beauty/face aspects . This is great for makeup enthusiast as we will be able to get more inspiration from the looks we will create on our own. I love the play of reds on the eyes for the Lizanne Cua look for the Philippine Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 shows, while I love the retro feel on Sassa Jimenez shows.
Look #5: Lizanne Cua show
Highlights: Lizanne Cua had a particular look in mind to pair with her spring/summer collection, an oherworldly beauty with fair skin, red eyes, and nude, lossy lips. Strong, contemporary, ut still utterly feminine, it indroduces a new idea of beauty.
“Red isn’t limited to the lips and the cheeks; with the right blending and some sparkle it’s also a great color for the eyes.”
How to do it:
Face: For a youthful luminous sheen, apply Luscent Magique BB ream on bare skin. For minor skin imperfections, dab ome True Match Super Blendable Foundation.
Lips: Using a brush for precision, fill in the lis with Colour Riche Nutri Shine in Sweet Rose.
Eyes: Apply Open Eyes Po in Purple Pink on the lids usin moistened and round brush strokes to avoid creating hard lines. Line the lower lashes with the same color using gentle brush strokes.
Look #6: Sassa Jimenez show
Highlights: Sassa Jimenez’s Morning Blaze collection draws elements from hiphop, punk and psychedelic rok, resulting in dresses that bring to mind the high-strung times of the ’60s and funky grove of the ’70s.
“An amazing amalgram of unexpected elements – bronzed skin, plum lips, crimped locks — result in an afro-psychedelic look.”
How to do it:
Cheeks: Create a subtle , fresh-from-outdoor flush by applying True Match Blush in Pink Grapefruit on the apples of the ceeks and sweeping up to the temples.
Face: Prep the skin with Lucent Magique BB Cream
Lips: With a brush, fill in the lips with the Colour Rich Lipstick in Intense Plum, then add dimension by dabbing some Colour Riche Colour Intense Lipstick in Red Passion at the center of both lips. Top off with Glam Shine 6H Lipgloss in Red Charm for sheen.
Eyes: Use the Open Eyes Pro in Beige Harmony to create a light golden shimmer around the eyes, usin soft and round brush strokes to create a sof graduation of color on the upper lids. Line the eyes with Super Liner Lasting Silky Crayon adn coat the eyelashes with Curl Impact Collagene.
