An Open Letter To My Fellow Bloggers: Have Respect With Yourself

To my dear fellow bloggers,

First off, I would like to tell everyone that I am not a perfect person or a blogger. I do those petty blogger mistakes that I wish I did not do but have done and so I charge it to experience. I sometimes “discriminate” fellow bloggers because of personal reasons and well sometimes I get influenced by the people around me. I often get accused by some PR or advertising networks as “brat” or “bitchy” or “snob” because I am very much frank about telling them that I/ bloggers owe to be treated better than what they are doing to me/them. If they are not nice to me or if I was not a friend of the PR person first before having a business deal, I would not rather close a deal/partnership with them if it does not work with my terms.

Anyway, this post is meant for my fellow bloggers who seem to have gone way too low with the way they handle themselves. If you want to be treated as a royalty, act like one. Have respect with yourself. Remember, you are only treated the way you let people treat you and how you think of yourself. I don’t say be a b with an itch or command everyone like you own the world. I’m sure you get my drift

There was a news that reached me that there were bloggers/blogger who shoplifted at a shopping event with a very popular clothing brand. I will not get in too many details of the said event or brand but the “crime” was caught on CCTV!

My dear fellow bloggers, please have respect with yourself. Gatecrashing can still be excused. Hoarding loot bags can still be excused… but SHOPLIFTING is a crime and the lowest of the lows. Please have respect with yourself, you are not worth that item you shop lifted. If you don’t have money don’t attend shopping events, I know it is tempting not to get almost everything you want. If the item is too pretty, fit it, take a photo of it in the fitting room, adore yourself wearing it, but don’t run away with it thinking you will not get caught! Or ask for a pull-out. Please! Respect yourself I beg you!

If you don’t respect yourself that much then respect the “title” you are flaunting as a “blogger”. Don’t paint a bad image of bloggers everywhere, not everyone is like you! Have decency.

Best,

Ms. Earthlingorgeous

P.S.

Before anyone else does their own “the-who” blind item!  This was not from the Uniqlo event I just attended earlier, the Uniqlo event earlier is not a shopping event but a styling event.   Thank you!

  1. This is not a good news. Why on earth they did that thing? They messed up with all the bloggers too. Our reputations are also at stake.

  2. Shocked ako Earth! There are always bad apples like lootbag hoarders, gatecrashers, etc… but please wag naman shoplifter!

  3. Hi Yani, You should have said hi! I am bad at names to associate with the face unless may moment with the person haha!

  4. Good it was not the U event.. After I read your post, I was just hoping na it was a false accusation… turns out, it was super true and they were confronted na pala. Now I’m just wishing that those people who supposedly label themselves as ‘blogger/s’ would reassess their morals… I hope they have learned their lesson well.
