OOTD: Emerald

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.”  – Bibble

Pantone declared Emerald as the color of the year 2013.  I never gave  the color green much attention as I feel it does not compliment my skin tone, until I saw this beautiful top in Emerald Green shade.

What I wore:
Peplum Longsleeves Top: Mossimo
Inner: Avon Lace Cami-bra
Fitted Jeans: Penshoppe
Peep-toe Wedge Shoes: Payless Shoe Store
Snakeskin Envelope Clutch: Aranaz Bags

I wore this at the Estee Lauder Pure Color Play event at the Rockwell Tent and I was complimented a lot not just because I’m wearing the color of the year but they said the color suits me well. That was nice to hear as I don’t get that kind of compliment much. Now I think I need to stock on a lot of Emerald green shaded clothes!

This was also the first time I wore peplum as I was afraid it will make me look fat or short. But looking at these photos, taken by Bec San Diego, I don’t look fat or short. I think I’ll get more peplums too.

Here are the lovely blogger friends I was with the event

How I wish I can get the photo they took of me at the Estee Lauder photo wall so you can see the lovely emerald green shade of this lovely blouse I was wearing.

How about you, is there any color or style you haven’t worn yet because you think it doesn’t compliment your skin tone and figure?

Stay gorgeous everyone!
