OOTD: A Day In A Life of a Coffee Farmer

As some of you already know, (through my Twitter, Instagram and personal Facebook account updates) I was in Davao! I might be on my way back to Manila as soon as you read this if not back in Manila already. This visit was my first time in Davao and the first at any province in Mindanao ever! So I am glad my visit was very memorable as I get to experience how it is like to be a coffee farmer and a coffee for that matter!

Day 2 of my trip was the total immersion experience of being a coffee farmer girl, we were advised early on that we might need to wear boots because some farm can be very muddy or even have some leaches in them! Fortunately, it was a nice sunny day today, most of the farms were dry and warm so it didn’t get that messy as I expect it to be.

Aside from the Nescafe Farm, we also visited some local farmers who grow coffee trees among others

We visited a coffee bean buying station where I get to collect some coffee beans samples from the sacks being sold to the station for quality testing. Mind you we get samples from each sack!

The total immersion was not complete without having plant a coffee tree!
