The Bib Overalls by Dickies

As is common with so many types of apparel familiar to the American people, overalls started out as a garment for workers. Something else common to most is the familiar Dickies brand name. Dickies has been supplying America’s workers with quality work wear since 1918 when C.N. Williamson and E.E. Dickie opened their U.S. Overall Company in Bryan, Texas. In fact, the bib overall was the foundation under which the company began its journey from a small overall supplier to the largest supplier of work wear in the world.

Today, customers will find quite a variety of apparel that includes several types of “bibs” in a variety of sizes not only for men, but also for women and children. White painters’ bibs, insulated duck bibs and enhanced visibility bibs are among those stocked and ready for shipment. You will find bibs equipped with leg zippers, loops for hammers and tape measures, elastic back straps and storm flaps to cover and protect the zippers in harsh weather. Dual tool pockets and legs cut for fitting over boots are other common features. Plain denim is joined by timber brown, duck brown, hickory stripe and reflective material. The insulated bibs will keep fishermen, hunters, utility workers, carpenters and plenty of other outdoors-men warm in cold weather just as they have for almost a century.
