Womens Single. Maria Sharapova vs Kristina Mladenovic. Maria was playing for the Manila Mavericks, Kristina for UAE Royals for the IPTL Manila leg at SM MOA Arena.
The game was getting intense as it seems Sharapova, the crowd favorite in IPTL in Manila was losing the first two half of the match. It is apparent to see that she has lost her rhythm. Until she finally got her beat back and won the game.
“This is my first time to play in Manila and I don’t want to lose my first (IPTL),” she said.
For the very obvious reason, Sharapova was the favorite among Filipino fans. She has the charm and the beauty to win the crowd, plus the fact that she is playing for the Manila Mavericks.
All international tennis players who was theee at the first day of IPTL in Manila #IPTLManila did not expect this warm welcome.
The Philippine audience was the most experessive audience they have ever encountered. I for one did not care squealing with excitement when my favorite player scores.
My favorite match for the day was the Mix Double where two of my favorite Sharapova and Murray for Manila Maverics teamed up against Nenad Zimonjic and Kristina Mladenovic UAE Royals.
It was such an experience to see Maria Sharapova and Andy Murray play together in one court LIVE!
It was surreal to see so many international players in one court!
Today is the 2nd day and I am excited to watch again!
