I don’t know who is more frustrated the players or the audience. Playing at their “home court” but losing is such a sweet sorrow I think because you want a sweet revenge after haha!
The Manila Maverick lost a lot of match against the Indian Aces team at the #IPTLManila Day 2 last night.
It started during the first match with Carlos Moya not being able to run and catch up because of an injury his groin/crothch area was painful he said. He wanted to play but the trainor has been called and he was replaced by Nestor ( I didn’t even know you can have substitute players for a tennis match, maybe because its team not individual?)
Anyway despite the effort match 1 lost IdAna Indian Aces won.
But hey, I am not totally disappointed it was a great match, all the games were awesome. You can see the effort coming from the Mavericks and the game was really great and fun! True sportsmanship from both team, everyone was having fun but also was competing and showing their strength.
When Ana Ivanovic and Sharapova got innthe court everyone could sense that the game will be serious and it indeed really was. It was an intense match.
You can see that Sharapova was a bit atressed, pressured and tired becauae she got that workout at the earlier match for the Mixed Doubles. The Indian Aces mixed double team gave her a hard time as all the balls were being passed towards her. So maybe that wad one factor why she lost her Singles Match with Ivanovic.
I hope the Mavericks will pull through today! The last day of the IPTL Manila leg!
