How much are you willing to pay for a cup of coffee?
Are you a cheapskate or a big spender? Will you pay one peso (Php1.00) for a nice cup of Java? Or are you willing to pay more than Php500.00 for an excellent brew? It is all up to you. Seriously!
I was at the opening of Recession Coffee by Digital Walker at Eastwood City Mall in Libis Quezon City and I was totally floored with the concept of pay what you want to pay for a coffee concept.
I even have to ask the owner, how is this gonna work and how are you gonna profit from such business model.
They said this will be a challenge for them and for the coffee aficionados alike as this will show their love for coffee by giving them the freedom to pay as much as they want for a cup.
A very tricky business model and concept that poses challenges for Recession Coffee and Digital Walker as it will bring about curiosity among each of the customer. They even said if you give greater than Php200.00 and you might just get a marriage proposal but if you pay lower than Php50.00 you might be mistaken for someone broke and in between jobs. It really is up to you how you want to be perceived and how much are you willing to pay. So yeah contribute at your own risk!
What I like about the Recession Coffee by Digital Walker is that you are in a free atmosphere wherein you can also play with some digital accessories, it will be a pleasure for them if you do flat lays, post an OOTD inside the store wearing/using any of the digital stuff you see, just don’t forget to use the hashtag #recessioncoffeebydigitalwalker! You might want to include how much you paid for your coffee (show how cheap or generous you are #humblebrag).
Aside from coffee and digital accessories they also serve pastries to pair with your coffee. I fell in love with the Love Wins cake, it has nice chocolate icing typing and has rainbow colors!
Digital Walker offers a slew of noteworthy music headgear, portable speakers, gizmo guards and a few cult loved gadgets that the true tech savvy and social geek won’t have to think twice about a single purchase.
If you want to try this coffee shop you can go to the 3rd level of Eastwood City Mall in Libis in Quezon City. I would love to hear your experience!
Stay gorgeous everyone!
