The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams – Oprah Winfrey
Every start of the year we write on a new journal / plannner. In it we write our schedule , who we met, where we went, what happened, how much we spent and so on. It’s more of the present and past or short term. It’s good for moments when we get nostalgic and what to recall what we did when and where and when at a certain date and time.
A few days after 2017 I got two copies of the Dreambook Life Coaching Journal. I have no idea what to expect of it and thought it may just be just another planner/ journal, but I was wrong. A Dreambook is more and better because it is like your personal life coach by your side.
What is a Dreambook? A Dreambook is a journal/ planner where you make your dreams visible . The Dreambook makers believe that the more vivid you can visualize your dreams, the closer you get into achieving.
There are two versions of the Dreambook, the spiral and the hardbound. The spiral notebook May Your Dream Come True resonated more with me because of the color scheme and fonts. The I Chase My Dream Now is more colorful, text are larger.
At the moment I am reading through the book and trying to digest it’s purpose. I feel inspired into filling up the books already. It looks overwhelming at first but you can do it one page at a time or after reading through the “insturction” on how to use the Dreambook and why use a Dreambook. Start collecting things you want to put in it like old magazines to gather photos and words that inspires you. Get colored pens or pencil to make it more colorful . Be creative as you want and make that Dream Visual.
You may choose to follow the book map, fill in the Dreambook from front cover to back cover, or to start anywhere in the book and fill only the sections you feel like answering.
Have an actual feel of what the Dreambook is like in this video I made while exploring every page:
Stay gorgeous everyone!

Hi Earth Rullan. I’m Shirley Marie Sales-Bernardo. Thank you for these informative articles and video. Your/ My favorite journals are made from wood or fruit pulps, hoping that you are also into recycled papers. We love the one with the spirals. Most of the colors used in recycled papers are also organic or natural dyes. Natural Dyes are trending due to Climate Change and you may be a catalyst for this Textile Industry wave…specially on this LifeStyle World.
May I then cordially invite you to the 50th Founding Anniversary of the Department of Science and Technology’s (DOST) lead textile agency…the Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI). Please reply via email, and I will send you the details of the program conferences which tackle Natural Dyes, Innovative Yarns and Textiles, Philippine Tropical Fibers and Fabrics.
We are delighted to kick off the year with our Textile Stakeholders Conference. This is made doubly significant as PTRI leads in the celebration of the “Philippine Tropical Fabrics Month”, an institutionalized event under Proclamation No. 313 issued on 12 January 2012.
We have invited some of our collaborators and industry partners to speak on new developments in textile materials. Dr. Carmen Hijosa, founder of Ananas Anam and creator of a breakthrough material, Piñatex, will lead our roster of resource speakers. Our partner-weavers representing Regional Handloom Weaving Innovation Centers from 8 regions of our country (CAR, Regions I, III, IV-B, VI, VII, X and XII), along with some collaborators, will showcase a mini trade Exhibit as we hold a Market Encounter for them.
The event bannered as TELA Pilipinas: Beyond Gold will be held on Friday, 27 January 2017 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), 4th Floor Summit Hall C&D, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. Program and Conferences will be from 9AM-3PM. Free admission.
Thank you. I appreciate your time…looking forward to meeting you at the event.
Sincerely,
SMS Bernardo
