Hey Earthlings!
I know I just recently announced our engagement and now our multiverse wedding ! Why do we need to prolong it when we are so sure of each other and we are not waiting for anyone.
Both my parents passed away, my best friends all scattered all over the world and Marcus family in different states of the U.S. Nobody to wait for and having a big wedding with too many guests is not ideal anymore.
The perfect way to do this is this, our multiverse intimate wedding !
Our Multiverse Wedding
Our wedding was the simplest, most intimate multiverse wedding ceremony you could ever dream of — just our closest family, all gathered physically, virtually and spiritually, nothing extravagant, but so full of love. We said our vows in the U.S., with a breathtaking Philippine beach as our backdrop—pure magic.
A moment I’ll treasure forever: my daughter, my beautiful girl, walked me down the promenade. Even though she didn’t fully understand what was happening, she happily held my hand and walked beside me to the beach, her little smile lighting up the moment.
What made it even more special was feeling my parents there with us in spirit. My sister wore my dad’s button-down shirt—the same one he proudly wore at my debut—and it felt like a piece of him was walking with me. My mom’s urn was right there at the ceremony, making her a part of every moment. I even wore a cremation necklace with her green bone inside, keeping her close to my heart in the most personal way possible.
Marcus’s family, spread across different states and time zones in the U.S., joined us online—his mom, dad, and sisters all tuned in to celebrate with us. It was such a heartwarming connection, bridging miles and making the day feel beautifully complete.
The weather? Honestly, it was PERFECT. The sun was shining, the breeze was just right, and the sea was calm, reflecting the most beautiful clear blue skies—seriously, it felt like the universe was sending us good vibes.
For my dress, I went with a soft beige-white cream dress—one I cut just right so I could move freely on the beach. Marcus looked dashing in khaki pants and a jacket.
My bouquet was a personalized masterpiece—preserved flowers carefully designed to match Marcus’s boutonniere. 🌸 I chose preserved flowers because I wanted something that would last forever, just like this special day and the memories we were creating. Later, we repurposed the bouquet and placed it at my parents’ columbarium, ensuring they were still with us in spirit.
It was a day full of love, memories, and moments that I’ll cherish forever. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful beginning to this new chapter with Marcus by my side.
Immortalizing the moment
Video and photography were super important to us—we wanted to capture and immortalize every special moment. 🎥📸 But we kept it completely DIY! No pro photographers or videographers here. Instead, we set up our own Insta360 cameras (yep, two of them), along with three mobile phones operated by my sister, our driver and yaya and a laptop. Thanks to all of them , we covered all the angles and views to make sure nothing was missed.
Thanks to the resort’s Starlink connection, plus Globe and SMART as backup, we had everything we needed for streaming and recording. Honestly, I can’t even remember which connection we ended up using—it just all worked perfectly, and we couldn’t be happier! The lingering post-pandemic vibe was definitely still alive in our setup, and it somehow made it even more special
Marcus and I scouted the beach the day before the wedding to make sure no resort visitors accidentally wandered into our precious ceremony. With his filmmaker’s eye, he was laser-focused on the lighting, angles, sound—all the technical details. Meanwhile, I was all about ensuring the view was picture-perfect and everyone, especially my daughter, felt comfortable.
Reception?
Reception, who? We spent the day eating right on the beach! After the ceremony, we snapped a few photos, then changed into beach clothes and went straight for the paddleboards, kayaks, and the waves! We swam until we were totally wiped out. It was a fun, laid-back, and super intimate wedding vacation — exactly what we wanted.
Cost of our shumble wedding
So, the total cost for everything — including the 4-day stay at the beach resort — came out to around Php150k. This doesn’t even cover my dress, Marcus’s attire, the bouquet and boutonniere, or the legal docs and officiant. So in total it will end up around Php200K Honestly, there’s no such thing as a humble wedding when you really break it down. But for us, this was as “shumble” (simple + humble) as it could get.
Initially, we imagined having two weddings — a low-key remote ceremony and a destination celebration. But… the logistics? We feel will be a total chaos. And honestly, we’re a bit too grown for all that hassle! With no parents to please or sway our choices, and all our friends (aka potential bridesmaids and groomsmen) scattered across the globe, we realized a simpler plan made way more sense. So, we compromised and went with the most intimate, dreamy setup we could think of. And guess what? It turned out exactly as we hoped.
I’ve always dreamed of having a wedding with a view of trees, sea, sand, sky, and mountains… and I got it. It was everything I ever imagined and more.
Soi yeah, my dear gorgeous Earthlings I am now a happily married woman !
