Hats off to Jericho Rosales for his awesome hosting and dancing skills that entertained and rocked Chowking Fort Bonifacio, Global City Taguig branch during Chowkings 25th Anniversary Blow-out! The event was very lively and fun because of him.
Jericho is now the new endorser of Chowking specifically for its Oh!Some Orange Chicken meal and “instructor” for the Oh!Some Chowking Orange Chicken Dance that they launched Wednesday, March 17, 2010 and will be seen in Showtime in the coming days.
This is in line with their campaign that comes alongside with the launch of the new meal, the Oh!some Oh!range dance moves reiterating that mapapasayaw ka (you will dance) when you get your hands oh! so juicy oh! so sweet and spicy, and oh! so orange-y savory morsels.
Everyone was in a party mood that night not only because of the OH! Some OH!range Chicken meal but because we were also celebrating Chowking’s 25th Anniversary Blow-out and the opening of their 400th branch in Baguio.
The night was indeed full of surprise. However there are rooms for improvement especially for the event organizer to take note of:
- I wished the venue was larger so it can fit all the bloggers, cosplayers and flash mobbers they want in one place.
- I wished the food was served hot and that they didn’t sprinkle confetti on top of everything.
- I wished the program was a bit more structured, serve the food first and have the guest eat the food while its hot since they are launching a new dish. People would appreciate the food more if it was hot.
- I wished somehow they understood what is a blog and what blogging is, specifically know what are the traits of a food blogger.
Oh! Chef Rosebud Benitez was there to open the program. Mr. Erwin Elechicon, Chowking President was there and did the Oh!range chicken dance too.

parang hindi ko type yung food na natabunan na, LOL. But I agree, ang ganda ng skin mo ha. Wow, your so lucky naman to join events like that.
I totally agree with you on the points for improvement.
I got invited as a photographer (they said it’s an exclusive list for 10 photographers, 10 bloggers and 10 cosplayers?) and I was hoping I could meet and network with the other guests. Upon registration, all I did was just sign up – no IDs to identify those who came; thus, I could not differentiate the guests from everyone else (flash mob dancers, organizers, et al).
I only had a bite of the orange-y chicken while standing, as it was served ala merienda style. I wondered then how the food bloggers would appreciate this kind of setup. 😛
But indeed, the event was fun and dynamic thanks to their hosts. I’m pretty sure the cosplayers enjoyed the event. It could have just been better on a larger venue.
totally agree with your 2nd and 4th comments! i remember struggling to take a photo of the dish then some photographers were already forking the chicken out of the plate boo! >:(
paul and i went back again to be able to appreciate the orange chicken… the rice last night was super cold na, the one we had earlier was way way better

grabe super laki naman ng mga confetti! pati tuloy ang mga pagkain natabunan na… and i can see its too crowded nga talaga. Dapat mas malaki talaga yung space.
