(LodRose) I’m In It for the FAME [Salon]

EG Note:  I asked my Ate Olay to try out the services at FAME Salon at Bonifacio Global City since she works in the area and I don’t have the luxury of time to be at all place at once Haha!  So read her experience and whatever she learned during her visit at FAME for a hair treat.

xoxoxo

During these times where big ticket beautiful people Paris Hilton, Jeremy Renner, Katy Perry, Ed Westwick, Rachel Weisz,  Lucy Hale, Ian Somerhandler and Lady Gaga comes to visit, you just can’t help but feel that pressure to be as fabulous, glamorous, and lucky.

As I’ve been stuck in a hair rut lately because I haven’t seen my real hair since 2007 due to constant relaxing, hair dyeing, digital perming and rebonding. For the past 2 quarters, I’m letting it grow out and have just been trimming the ends waiting for the natural streaks to come out.

So it had been a pleasant surprise when Earth asked me for a favor that I try out the services [oooh, and did I tell you there was a free L’Oreal Hair Spa worth Php 1,200 given just for showing up?!] of Maritess Allen’s new salon FAME, given the fact that she just had her hair L’Oreal Chromo Straighted by Headzone. It was so convenient as the place was a few blocks away from my daytime gig [at the new posh F1 Hotel, corner of 5th Avenue and 32nd Street very near Boni High Street].  Another situation factoring in was that I was on my way to meet friends that I haven’t seen in quite a while for dinner at Cafe Juanita in Kapitolyo Pasig so prepping prettily should really be the case. And I’m so glad I came!

I set my appointment by calling 478-6378 – you’d then be speaking to the lovely Tet early that afternoon.

I was met warmly by Tet and the lean Fame salon team. Then I was handed the “Be Lucky…Be Pretty…” information folio alongside the services menu as we heartily discussed my hair history, current condition and their recommendations given my Chinese Astrology sign [proud Fire Dragon btw] outside the hair spa treatment.  After sharing my hair woes and evaluated their inputs, we then settled on a trim as a starter to our version of Julia Robert’s style but yielding shades of blue [a project to be accomplished within the year].

I was entrusted by the salon’s Creative and Managing Director, Chastine Fitcher, to Senior Stylist Joy Alicando, who really did a wonderful job that did not just end by trimming, but also to reshaping so that the unfriendly waves, which is the natural state of my hair, come out like it was designed that way! I am also quite excited making plans with Malou with regard to my dream blue hair colouring/glossing.

So definitely I will be coming back for more. Perhaps see you there when I do?
