I live in a household of sentimental fools. My mother kept almost all her old clothes from even before she imagined she will conceive a beautiful daughter like me (pun intended). While I was digging in her memory boxes and looking at old photographs, I saw a newspaper clip in her diary about her epic love story with my father. My mom was wearing a beautiful long sleeve maxi dress with a nice floral print.
The magazine and newspaper clip was after a year of my parents wedding year 1973, just a few months after Martial Law was declared in the Philippines. I remember my mom keep this dress and thought I can still wear it today since vintage is definitely in.
Tada!
How about you, have you seen or worn your mother’s clothes from decades ago?
Stay gorgeous everyone!

Wow! the dress look really good on you. I’ve seen Mama’s vintage dresses and some hair accessories until my high school days. I remember one time she let me try her one piece swim wear (at home not in the pool hehehe). According to her, she was a fashionista back then.I’ve seen her photos wearing off-shoulder blouses and peticoat skirt s, and high-heeled shoes. 🙂
Oh how special is that? I love that you wore it to their anniversary to!
I actually wore my mom’s wedding dress when I got married! It was a style that while timeless, just isn’t made anymore and I know she was very honored to share it. You look great in the dress – it looks modern as well!
Wow!! That is a beautiful dress. I love how fashion goes through cycles.
I love vintage clothes, especially from the 40’s and 50’s. 🙂 Congrats on an awesome find from your mom’s closet!
