Two weeks ago, the family decided to have a weekend staycation at Seda Hotel at Bonifacio Global City because we were bored at home and we want our mom not to get stressed out travelling to and fro after meeting her siblings for a brief get-together at the BGC.
Seda Hotel is one of the new hotel at the Global City, it is smack in the middle of Serendra and High Street. If you are coming from High Street it is before you cross the street on your left side going to Serendra/ Market Market. If you are from Market Market it is after you cross the street going to High Street from your right side.
How much per night?
Since they are running on their opening year, they have a promotional room rate of Php6,000+++ inclusive of taxes and fees a night, inclusive of breakfast for 2 persons. Regular rates cost about Php12,000.00 to Php16,000+++ a night!
All rooms have:
King bed or twins• 40-inch LED HDTV with cable channels• Speaker phone with iPod dock and FM radio feature• Media panel with HDMI, USB and A/V connectivity• Executive writing desk• Complimentary WiFi and broadband internet access• International Direct Dial telephone• In-room safe (can fit 13inch laptop)• Voice mail• Coffee and tea making facilities• Alarm clock• Mini-bar• Hair dryer
I love the view from our room
There’s a Swimming Pool located at the second floor of the hotel size is good enough to take a dip and a few strokes, suited for kids who just wants to play in the water as it doesn’t go deeper than 4 feet.
I love the view of the high rise buildings perfect to swim early morning when the sun is just rising.
The first floor of the hotel is the busiest part where the reception, dining and e-lounge is located.
This giraffe installation is located beside the reception counter we so adore it.
The e-lounge is at the left side of the reception counter if you are facing it. With to Apple PC with free internet use.
DINING
Misto is the in-house restaurant of Seda Hotel where breakfast, lunch and dinner is served.Frankly space is too small for such an important component in a hotel but it looks like the place is not for those who want to dine-in but more of those always on the go and would rather want to eat-out at the wide food selections you can find at the Global City
From the buffet eat-all-you-can breakfast
Ala-carte Tapsilog
They have a Straight Up Bar at the Roof Deck location is nice and perfect for those who want to unwind and have drinks with friends after a long day at work.
STAFF They are very friendly and helpful, especially the one who helped me book our stay. Reception people are fast and efficient. Kitchen staff are slow because it took them more than 15 minutes to prepare our ala-carte orders for breakfast.
MY VERDICT!
Rooms: Are impeccable, I super love the interiors, it’s so spacious, I love the bay window, the work station area is perfect, I love the FREE Wi-fi service, I love the bed it’s not so fluffy and not so stiff. Facilities for coffee or tee is all there. Toiletries complete. Everything is perfect. I don’t have any complaints with the room. One of the best I have stayed on.
Dining: Misto is too small for such an important place in a hotel. I wish they gave this more space like an entire floor just for dining. But then again they offer room service for dining so maybe that’s why it’s not that big. As per food choices, we had breakfast there and well all the best sellers for breakfast was served. I just had a problem with the bacon, the tomato and cheese and potato wedges, they were served cold as they didn’t place it on a warmer. We also ordered ala-carte and it took them forever to serve it! Sis and I were done with our first plate from the breakfast buffet but my mom’s order of a Tocilog was not there still which irked her a lot! As for the price of ala-carte orders they are very affordable. As for taste food is not bad at all except for those cold stuff at the buffet.
Pool Area: The pool is nice and the lay-out was good except for the location. The pool was situated at the second floor so everyone from the high rise building or even low-rise for that matter near the area can see who’s in the pool or not. A perfect location for peeping-toms I say. Maybe they can put the pool at the roof deck or if that’s impossible, maybe make the glass not transparent or make it a two way mirror so as not people from outside can see. Then again I can say the hotel was not made for those who want to swim but just an added facilities for those who just want to take a dip but still it will be nice to be thoughtful of your guest because guest are the only ones allowed to use the pool.
Conclusion:
It all boils down to this conclusion, Seda Hotel is not a family hotel but a hotel made for business people who are always on the go,would rather be in their room and do their work there, order in for breakfast or lunch or maybe eat out at a resto outside the hotel for a business meeting, come back to the room and do their job comfortably because of the free wi-fi and use of phone for local and international business calls. Then go to the Straight Up bar to unwind or maybe still have a meeting with business partners over beer or wine.
Do I recommend Seda Hotel at BGC?
Yes for business people or yuppies and maybe for families. You will very much enjoy the room if you are single or with business partners or work friends or just there to relax not leave the room and bum haha. Or for couples who want to enjoy the company of each other undisturbed by the world outside haha! But if you want to enjoy the appreciate the hotel like not just the room I’ll go somewhere else. It all boils down to your perspective and expectations. The rooms are perfect that’s all that matters.
How about you, have you been to Seda Hotel at BGC before? How did you find it?
Stay gorgeous everyone!

We haven’t tried Seda Hotel yet. I like the idea of the Straight Up Bar, but like you, I don’t like the location of the pool and the size of the dining area.
The only hotel i’ve been to in BGC is F1. I think this is also a nice hotel.
yes and F1 is closer to St. Lukes naman 🙂
This reminds me of our F1 Hotel stay. But this one is closer to Serendra.
