I Can Fly! My Flying Trapeze Philippines Experience

It feels really great to be able to cross-out again something on my bucket list! Finally, I was able to fly and even swing twice on a flying trapeze at the Flying Trapeze Philippines!

Mind you Flying Trapeze Philippines, is the FIRST and ONLY full size Flying Trapeze rig in the Philippines and one of only a few in all of Asia. Measuring 32ft high by 12ft wide.

Here’s a video clip of me flying! My Flying Trapeze Philippines Experience!

The first try is always the scariest. But once you let go there's no stopping you!

Was it difficult?   No. It was just like swinging on an ordinary swing the difference was instead of sitting you are hanging 32 feet above the ground!

The first drop is the scariest! Just hang on, listen to instructions and enjoy the ride

Were you scared?  Yes at first I was. The first try and the first drop is always the scariest.  The fear of doing something because of pressumed danger is the hardest to overcome. But once you have gathered the courage to let go and  just listen well to instructions, there’s nothing to fear at all.  In fact conquering your fear and doing something for the first time is a great achievement.

Do you need strong muscles/ upper arms so you can swing or lift yourself?  I think you need a strong grip and maybe stretching before you fly as it will stretch you from head to toe.  If you think you are fit, no injury or other healthy issues (ask your doctor if you can do such activity, this one is somewhat extreme) you are good to go.  Plus you will be asked to sign a waiver/consent form before flying, so better read it well before signing.

When you’re out there swining it is pure fun and freedom. Actually it reminded me of my childhood when I play on the swing and would do stunts like stand on the swing up or hang down on a monkey bar!

Is it safe?  With an entire team of kind and encouraging Trapeze experts led by Will Shu guiding you all througout, there’s nothing to fear. The facility looks sturdy and safe and it looks like it can carry the biggest and heaviest person I’ve see at the scene when I was there yesterday for the San Marino Corned Tuna #WhatsNewWhatsNext event.

My awkward drop!

There’s a net to catch you when you fall, harness on both of your sides incase you fall because you didn’t grip well or your grip was bad. A cushion below the net for additinal safety precaution.

I really don't have fear of heights to begin with, I just have fear of falling and hitting the ground and break ny bones! Haha!

Will you do it again? Absolutely!  I swung twice. For my second time up there I was able to hook my knees on the swing and let my hands go. It was super fun! I will do it again and maybe next time experience being caught by another swinger or even catch someone that  would be awesome! Haha!
