2014 would be my most craziest year. It was a year of mistakes, of new beginnings, of moving on, letting go and meeting a lot of new people.
Here’ s a throwback of how my 2014 went highlighting my best experiences and lessons along the way.
January 2014
Is my birth month and I started 2014 with the craziest thing I did when I started announcing publicly that I am dating again and am blogging about it. This is one of my open secret that everyone knows but were were afraid to ask. Just so you could let go of it like I have and stop asking me about it when you see me again: It is done and over with. The blog also ended because it will be unfair to our present or future relationship if the blog continues. That chapter of my out-of-this-world life is closed. Not to elaborate much about what happened but I am glad it all happened. It helped me get a closure to a past love I hang on to for almost a decade. I am glad I was that daring crazy because I was able to open myself again.
February 2014
I closed a chapter then another one opened! I was glad it all happened. I met someone who makes me happy and makes me young again, like a teenager I must say! I did something I never did in my younger years though and it was a revelation in a good way that I surprised myself.
March 2014
I guess I’m doing things right because I was acknowledge as one of the 100 Women of Substance and Power when I was invited for a photoshoot for this one by Nicolo Cosme. It was amazing to see my pic side by side with Philantropist Rosa Rosal. Hmmmmm that might be the way I am going.
April 2014
Our first month since we left our old house that we lived for 25 years. We stayed at SMDC light taking nothing with us but our clothes. It was like a long-staycation. It was a breathe of freah air to have moved out slowly. It gave my family the space they needed to adjust to a new life. It was a good move for all of us.
May 2014
Summer is my most favorite of the year. I went on an unexpected trip out-of-the country for a party! Imagine that! Went to Kuala Lumpur and party with other Asian bloggers for Air Asia’s Taylor Swift Livery jet launch! Had my first #OOTD in KL. It was also the first time Sampleroom had a summer outing with the partner bloggers at Pico de Loro. This has thought me to always have my passport ready and my body always bikini ready! Charot!
June 2014
More first things happened. Like the first Independence Day Party by Viber at the MOA Concert Grounds. It was super fun! I also tried Mermaiding for the first time. It was tough a lot of abs work for that! This month was about freedom from fear of what is not really there. To celebrate freedom with family, good friends and good booze!
July 2014
It is not really bragging but I like to share what I did for a charity because it gives the charity exposure as well and it inspires other people to help out. I styled and mini-hosted an impromptu makeover for Ariel x Red Cross Aid Couture in Glorietta.
August 2014
The highlight was when I signed as YSA Skin and Body Experts Online Brand Ambassasor. And was part of the pioneer Online Ambassador for Habitat for Humanity Philippines. My first mixer party with ISJ where met other people from the background/other side of my world (not bloggers but geeks, tech and startup people).
September 2014
October 2014
Was the first Habitat for Humanity Online Ambassadors build for the World Habitat Build. It was great to be able to do something for others without expecting anything. It was also great to know that what you are doing will change lives!
November 2014
Was one of the craziest months for bloggers as events happened everyday at least a minimum of 3 in aday. But my highlights would be narrowed down to mostly first experiences again!
- Meeting the Washington Sycip was like OMG! Touching him, talking to him, rubbed elbows with him was like rubbing elbows with good fortune hahaha!
- It was a pleasant surprise to have a foreigner in a suit driving a luxury car deliver McDonald’s stuff on my house like whoa!
- My staycation at Citadines Salcedo Makati is just one of the best staycation I had. Not only did I experience the hotel but all actovities and foodie places to go to around the area! Finally was able to visit Salcedo Weekend Market!
December 2014
December just ended with the New Years Eve celebration in our new home and neighborhood. While it was a bit tamed and okay, boring than the usual New Years Eve we had in our old house and/on Holiday vacation, it was not that bad. It is just very calm and quiet. My last day of December was hunting for Dencio’s Bar and Grill, what did you know Timog, Cubao, Trinoma and Megamall are all gone! Hahahaha!
New things I’ve tried was playing detective for a Warner TV event. The staycation at Widus Clark Hotel, and my latest favorite mall Century City Mall because Hole in the Wall is there my fave foodie hangout.
2014 indeed was a lot of first and best experiences, it was a great year with very little bumps along the way. Thank God.
My best first experiences in 2014 that I can now cross out from my bucket list are:
- Flying with the Flying Trapeze
- Mermaiding
- Archery
- Wall climbing
- Riding an ATV
- Riding a giant swing
- Partying in a Hummer Limo
- Partying in the Black fleet
- Dating again
- Biking again
- Meeting new people outside my usual circle/environment
- Moved to a new house
It was my year of awakening. I realized I should not be afraid of letting my guard down and let nature takes its course. Life is so much easier to deal with when you have less attachment to people and things.
I was able to do more, I was able to live life to the fullest more. Moving out of our new home I was able to experience the city life more than I did when we were far from “work”. I am happy at what I did in 2014 no regrets at all even with my little mistake at the start of the year it all ended up great for me. #morepamore
To those who made all these experiences possible Thank You for being part of my 2014. I hope to see you all again and share wonderful moments with you!
How about you how was your 2014?
Stay gorgeous everyone!
