This will be a very quick and short post as I don’t have much to say but uhmmm…the sound effects was great, the script was kinda weak, editing was good, the action scenes were surprisingly eye-popping I almost left the theater because it was too much for me. Denzel Washington was great in the movie.
What is The Book Of Eli? Everyone knows it, everyone has seen it. I just hope and pray that that time won’t come that people will kill other human beings to possess it.
I wonder how much did the products featured in the movie paid. The product placement was really good, gave people some laughs because we are all familiar with them.
Movie Synopsis of The Book Of Eli:
Eli (Denzel Washington) has been on a journey for 30 years, walking west across America after a cataclysmic war that turned the earth into a total wasteland. The world has become a lawless civilization where people must kill or be killed. The barren roads belong to gangs of cutthroats who rob and kill for water, a pair of shoes, a lighter, or just for fun. Eli is a peaceful man who only acts in self defense, and becomes a warrior with unbelievable killing skills when he is challenged. After the war and the “Big Flash”, Eli was guided by a higher power to a hidden book and given the task of protecting the book and taking it to its final destination. Eli guards the book with his life, because he knows that the book is the only hope that humanity has for its future.

This Movie “The Book of Eli” is has lots of good cinematography.
A so-so plot and good actors with the likes of Goodman and Washington.
The only problem is there is the gunfight scene which really really took me out of the movie because it was so unbelievable.
I dont care how good a movie is but asking me to suspend my disbelief coz it has Denzel Washington and the bible in it, is just too condescending of the director, producers and the writers.
I mean even the Clint Eastwood movies were careful in making sure that the audience would find the action not just brutal but believable, that yes it can happen in real life.
The gunfight in town was just unrealistic, it will not work in real life, having more than a dozen men in different areas and snipers too
all with guns pointed at Denzel and Denzel in perfect sight without one of them hitting him is just plain ridiculous.
Also i mean why didnt they just shoot at the same time when he was just in the open right away when the antagonist started shooting?
Were they hypnotized or something?
Sorry but i had to get it off my chest.
No matter how kickass the character is with his bolo knife and martial arts, you cant dodge bullets if your not even trying.
I swear to God thats what happened in that movie.
